Melanie Sillars was born in Marshfield and raised in Port Edwards, Wisconsin. A graduate of John Edwards High School, she began her higher education at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. She later enrolled at Milwaukee Area Technical College, where she earned her Funeral Director Apprenticeship License in Wisconsin in the fall of 2024.
Currently, Melanie is pursuing her Associate of Applied Science degree in Mortuary Science at Des Moines Area Community College. In January 2025, she began working full-time at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, where she is proud to serve her local community and continue developing her passion for funeral service.
Melanie is an active member of the United Methodist Church in Port Edwards. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, especially camping trips to Jellystone Park in Warrens, Wisconsin with her sister Lily and parents, Mark and Jerene Sillars. She also cherishes time at home with her beloved pets: her dog, Godzilla, and her two cats, Charlotte and Cleo.
