Obituary of Donna Minch

Donna Mae Minch, age 76, of Rudolph, WI, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Rudolph.  Rev. David Bruener will officiate.  Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph.  Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2nd at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church.  There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Donna was born March 31, 1942 in Marshfield, WI to Alois and Viola (Arts) Hoffman.  She married Francis Minch on June 2, 1962 at St. Peter’s Parish in Stevens Point.  They were blessed with 56 years of marriage.

Donna worked for Ore-Ida Foods for 15 years, retiring at the age of 55.  Following retirement, she worked as an aide for Safe-Way on the special needs school bus driven by her husband, Francis.   Donna and Francis spent 10 years caring for the transportation needs of area schoolchildren.

Donna was a faithful member of St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Rudolph, their PCCW group, and sang in the church choir.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed being the hostess for holidays and family cookouts.  Donna had a great sense of humor and loved to play cards.  Donna enjoyed bowling with the Minch Refrigeration bowling team, riding the wagon in the parades, going on hayrides and the golf cart.  She was the world’s best back scratcher.

Donna is survived by her husband, Francis; children: Tim (Sue) Minch, Lisa (Kent) Henke, Mike (Kris) Minch and Jeff Minch; grandchildren: Ashley (Andy) Hartjes, Travis (Allison) Henke, Tyler (Jenny) Henke, Nathan Minch, Nick (Stephany) Minch, Heather Minch, and Jonathan, Justin, Stephanie and Serenity Minch; great-grandchildren: Kelby and Adelyn Henke, Easton, Brooks and Avery Hartjes, Bella and Cashus Henke, and Ryker Minch; and sisters: Janice (Bill) Haupt and Jane (Ray) Pongratz.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Viola Hoffman, and grandson, Joshua Minch.

Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.
