Tommie J. Staples

Tommie J. Staples age, 66 passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital. He was born on February 21, 1957, in Nekoosa, the son of Carl and Louise (Powell) Staples. Tommie served his country in the U.S. Navy serving on U.S.S Howard W. Gilmore (AS-16) from 1974-1976.
Tommie is survived by his wife of 43 years Yvonne (Hicks) Staples; his sons, Jonus (Melissa) Staples, Nathan Staples and Travis Staples; his daughter Jessica (Jeffery) Crowns; his 11 grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Quinten, Kaydince, Cassandra, Ayden, Kylie, Conner, Lydia, Makenzi and Thomas; his 3 great grandchildren, Treyton, Scarlet and Beau; and by his sisters Roberta Blystone, Shirley Brill, Esther Jean Shelton and Rebecca (Patrick) Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Timmie John Staples. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral Home with Military rites to be conducted. Burial will be at Staples Cemetery in Wild Rose.
