Sandra Gronski

Sandra Ellen Gronski (Meddaugh), 58, of Mosinee, passed away on March 28, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Sandy was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Robert and Lois (Olli) Meddaugh. She graduated from Lincoln High School and Midstate Technical College. She married Jim Gronski on March 23, 1990, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids and moved to Wausau and later Mosinee. They recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.

Sandy performed numerous roles in office employment at Gross Common Carriers, Queoff Associates, and Complete Security Systems. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she returned to work at Pick ‘N Save in Rothschild, where she made many good friends. Sandy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sandy enjoyed photography, needlework, and scrapbooking in her spare time and loved to read. Sandy and Jim enjoyed several road trips around Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Minnesota. Most of the time, being by the water was the main destination. Together, they loved walking at State or County parks and forests. They also attended many concerts at the Grand Theater, Appleton, and St. Paul.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Jim Gronski; daughter, Jamie Gronski; mom, Lois Meddaugh; sister, Pam (Scott) Yetter; niece, Abbi Yetter; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her dad, Bob Meddaugh; niece, Alli Yetter; and several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank everyone who cared for Sandy at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the Cancer Center for all their care and compassion, especially Dr. Asquith.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sandys memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
