Sandra Crosby-Deering

Sandra J. Crosby-Deering, age 85, of Wisconsin Rapids was called home by her Lord on Friday, November 21, 2025, passing away of natural causes.

Sandra was born June 12, 1940 in Green Bay, WI to Raymond and Alice (Litzkow) Brugger. She married Donald Deering on March 24, 2007.

In January 1979, Sandra purchased Sunshine Preschool and Child Care, where she lovingly and thoughtfully served as the owner/teacher for 30 years. Many generations learned how to “Switch on the Sunshine with a Smile” while under her care.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Donald; her son, Curt (Toni) Crosby; daughter, Darcy Crosby; sisters: Donna Styve and Debra Vollmer; and brothers: Dennis (Rosa) Runnoe and Randy Runnoe. Sandra had five grandchildren: Alex (Leah) Attoms and Benjamin, Jack, Evelyn, and Avary Osinski. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Brugger; mother, Alice (Litzkow) Runnoe; sister, Sharon Stadler; and brothers: Jeffrey Runnoe and Gary Runnoe.

A memorial visitation will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025. A private family service will be held at a later date at the First Congregational Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Sandra will be laid to rest next to her daddy, Raymond, at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
