Russell J. Plawman

Russell J. Plawman, age 79, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1944, in Wisconsin Rapids. The son of Alfred and Lydia (Elmer) Plawman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home 2201 Chestnut St. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral Home.
Russ graduated from Lincoln High School. He married Mary Leiser on September 29, 1967. She preceded him in death in 2020. Russ retired from Stora Enso paper mill formerly Consolidated. Russ and Mary enjoyed travelling throughout the United States, Russ also enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and doing landscape work. Russ will be missed by his sons, Scott (Aline) Plawman and Chris (Kathy) Plawman; grandchildren, Jess, Jordan, Nathan and Amanda Plawman. his sisters Debra Plawman and Judy Lubeck. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife of 52 years Mary.
