Robert Whitrock

–

Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Robert E. Whitrock (“Bob”), age 77, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026.

Bob was born on May 4, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Ernest and Dottie (Gibney) Whitrock. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966 and continued his education at UW Stout and Mid-State Technical college. While waiting in line for his books at MSTC he met the love of his life Judy Ann Dhein. They were married August 5, 1972. Throughout his life Bob always had a passion for cars. His career in sales started at the Volkswagen garage and later he became the general manager and co-owner of Midstate Nissan Mazda. Retiring from the car dealership in 1992; Bob continued to use his unprecedented skill for sales working for National Write Your Congressman and Wisconsin Independent Business. A sharp business sense and natural talent for bartering made him successful in every endeavor.

Bob enjoyed curling, golf and fishing as well as an occasional visit to the casino – any day of the week except Tuesday. Tuesdays were reserved for Barrett's Auction, where he could always be found rain or shine. Over the years he was a member of many clubs, most notably: The Corvettes of the North and Wisconsin Model A Club. Bob loved to take drives in his convertible(s), watch baseball games, vacation in Arizona or sneak off to a cabin “up north” for a long weekend. Above all, Bob cherished his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud papa.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judy Whitrock; his son, Scott (Jenna) Whitrock and daughter, Wendy (Dave) Whitrock-Keller. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brianna, Sterling, Carter, Rylan and Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Dottie Whitrock, his brother, James (“Jim”) Whitrock and his good friend, Paul Kuhn.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 16th from 4pm to 7pm at Bullseye Golf Club. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.

He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
