Richard D. Giese

Richard D. Giese, age 56, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital. He was born on January 10, 1967, in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Chester and Bernice (Brahmstead) Giese. Richard worked for Infinity Foods and currently Ida's Bar and Grill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, shooting pool, dancing, and grilling out with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his nephew Ken Erdman working on many different mechanical projects.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Carol Meyer, Karen (David) Frazier, Sharon Schar, Dorothy (Ken) Erdman, Kathy (Van) Thai; brothers, Edward, Melvin, and Arthur Giese; special friends, Julie Bolling, Harold Garrett and Casey Hofer and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Diane Reinert; and by his brothers, Kenneth, Leland, and Ronald Giese.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Richard's nephews, Ryan, Chad and Wesley Schar as well as Kenneth Erdman Jr., Chet Arnold and Dan Frazier will be his pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital Emergency Room and second floor for all the care they gave Richard.
