Marilyn Kettleson

Marilyn A. Kettleson, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Marilyn was born May 20, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Bennie and Marion (Sweet) Sobczak. She graduated from Lincoln High School.

She worked at B & J Daycare, where she loved and cared deeply for the children. Even after the daycare closed, she remained close with her coworkers, continuing to gather with them for dinner.

Marilyn found joy in the outdoors and in time spent with those she loved. She enjoyed fishing and camping, cherished hosting her annual family picnic, and had a love for travel. She was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and never missed cheering them on. One of her favorite adventures was traveling to London with Michele.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Michele Linden; brother, Rodney (Mary) Sobczak; brother-in-law, Ronald Linden; and sister-in-law, Beth (Jim) Sowatzke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Kettleson; parents, Bennie and Marion Sobczak; daughter, Robin Linden; brothers: Kenneth Heltsley and Kelly Heltsley; and sisters: Benita Linden, Sharrel (Al) Garski, and Karen Carpenter.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Aspirus Riverview Hospital, especially the surgery staff and the ICU staff.

A celebration of Marily's life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Red Sands Stone Enclosed Shelter 7111 South Park Road, Wisconsin Rapids

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Wood County Humane Society or to a veteran's organization of your choice.
