Lynn Bennett

Lynn M. Bennett, age 82, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in Bayview Cemetery in Necedah at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lynn was born on November 17, 1942, to William and Clara (Cunat) Taft in Mauston, WI.

Lynn graduated from Necedah High School in 1960. She worked at McDonald’s in Wisconsin Rapids for 15 years until her retirement. Lynn married Richard Bennett on April 2, 1960.

She took pride in taking care of her family and home, cooking, baking, and tending to her flower gardens. She especially liked cheering on the Wisconsin sports teams. She loved traveling and biking with her husband.

Lynn is survived by her children: Nancy Winterburg (Noel) and Alan Bennett (Sarah); grandchildren: Erin (Adam) Christensen, Patrick Murphy, Cambria (Adam Barr) Ryckman, and Devri Bennett; great-granddaughter, Caroline Christensen; brother Terry (Judy) Taft; nieces: Kimberly Klumb, Morgan Taft, and nephew Joe Taft.

Lynn is predeceased by her parents, husband Richard, and sister Elizabeth “Beth” Klumb.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Rapids Care Center and Aspirus Hospice for the care they provided. The family would also like to thank her special friend Nancy Gear for the care that she has given through the years.
