Lucina “Ceen” Brandt joined her husband Rudy for their first Heavenly Polka on July 7, 2024. Ceen was 99 years old, born on December 21, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Pauline Tomczyk.
She married Rudy Brandt on October 11, 1943. They were blessed with three children, Barbara, Bruce, and Brenda.
Ceen worked in several local businesses, including Arndt’s Restaurant and Manion’s Ben Franklin. Later, she worked in the cafeteria at Riverview Hospital.
Always a dedicated mother and homemaker, Ceen enjoyed cooking for family get togethers, she loved sewing and all things family. She loved Polka dancing with Rudy at the Sherryland Ballroom and other local venues.
After her husband Rudy died, she enjoyed her life at the Huntington House Apartments. Ceen loved to socialize and play cards with her Huntington House neighbors. She also enjoyed her bus trips to the local casino.
Ceen is survived by her daughter Brenda (Curt) Pluke, brother Ervin (Gwen) Tomczyk, sister Alvina Swetz, grandchildren Kent (Kelly) Krajewski, Kristin Krajewski, Keith (Koreena) Krajewski, Nikki Brandt, Ross Brandt, and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Rudy, daughter Barbara Krajewski, son Bruce Brandt, brothers Francis and Dennis Tomczyk, sister Sylvia Bushmaker, and son-in-law Sylvester Krajewski.
