Linda L. Nieman, age 72, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Linda was born on May 24, 1953, in Wausau to Stanley and Martha (Kurzynski) Lesniak. She started her education in a one-room schoolhouse and graduated from PJ Jacob’s High School in Stevens Point. She furthered her education by receiving an associate’s degree in accounting from Mid-State Technical College. Linda married Willis Nieman on September 29, 1973, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton, Wisconsin.
Linda worked as an accountant for Northland Cranberry for several years, and while it was her profession, she genuinely enjoyed it. The precision of numbers and the quiet satisfaction of getting every detail just right spoke to her. Yet she was anything but a stereotypical accountant. Independent, curious, and endlessly inventive, Linda had a mind that was always reaching for something new to learn or create.
Her interests carried her in a hundred different directions. She created hybrid flowers, collected coins, sewed with expert hands, explored CAD drawing, cooked and baked with ease, repaired computers, raised and tagged monarch butterflies, upholstered furniture, screen printed, gardened, made signs, painted in oils, worked with stained glass, tackled DIY home repairs—and countless other pursuits that captured her imagination.
She also shared her talents with others. As a longtime 4-H leader and arts-and-crafts instructor, she nurtured creativity in countless young people, helping many discover a lifelong love of the arts.
Faith was very important to Linda, providing her with strength and guidance throughout her life. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Rudolph, where she and her husband worshiped together and shared in fellowship with their church community.
Linda is survived by her husband Randy, children: Chad (Kristine) Nieman, Jason (Margaret) Nieman, and Wade Nieman; grandchildren: Oliver, Max, Emmett, Naomi, Lane, Mica, Rory, and Braylee Nieman; siblings: Edward Lesniak, David (Charlotte) Lesniak, Michael (Tina) Lesniak, Mary (Dominic) Weber, and Joseph (Charlotte Lim) Lesniak. She is further survived by many close friends, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Martha, and sister-in-law Kathleen Lesniak.
The family would like to thank the staff at the House of the Dove in Marshfield for their care and compassion.
