Leland "Lee" A. Fisher

Leland A. “Lee” Fisher, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Edenbrook Health Care Center due to congestive heart and lung failure. He was born on November 29, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of August and Lorraine (Schroeder) Fisher.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services on Thursday at the church.
Lee was a very patriotic man, he was a friend to many, Lee was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, and the Wisconsin Rapids Boy Scout Troop 105. He loved spending time with his family including his Edenbrook and Huntington House families, he was an avid car enthusiast, and enjoyed driving his Nash Rambler. He also enjoyed going to watch his nephew race at Golden Sands, in his earlier years he would go out to his uncle Ernie Fisher’s farm with his father and cousins, helping with the crops. Lee worked at ODC until his retirement.
Lee is survived by his wife, Janet Fisher; his brother, Alan K. Fisher; his nephews, Kevin A. Fisher, Bradley (Michelle) Fisher; his niece, Amy K. Fisher; his cousins, Dean and Dale Fisher; his Edenbrook and Huntington House families and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by several other family members.
The family would like to thank the staff of ODC, Huntington House and Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids for all the care they gave Lee over the years.
