Laureths L. Bliven Obituary (1935

Laureths "Larry" L. Bliven, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Sigel. Rev. Michelle Nickodemus will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation for relatives and friends will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 30 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. Laureths was born January 20, 1935 in Dakota City, Nebraska to Erwin and Pearl (Fevold) Bliven. He graduated from Riceville High School in Iowa in 1953. He married Carolyn Keeton on November 26, 1955. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm until 1984. He enjoyed woodworking and was known for his ability to fix anything. In his spare time, you could catch him reading a Louis L'Amour book or watching a John Wayne movie. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family. Laureths is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, children: Larry (Pam) Bliven, Les (Cheryl) Bliven, Kathy (John) Sturm, Karen Bliven, Sarah Bliven; grandchildren: Jamie (Becky) Bliven, Cole (Maria) Bliven, Andy (Talena) Bliven, Maggie Bliven, Nathan Grant, Alea (David) Bauer, Ben (Sarah) Sturm, Daniel Sturm, Timothy Saavedra, Cassandra (Thomas) Hucke, Dawn, David, and Karen; great-grandchildren: Porter, Hunter, Rhona, Declan, Ije, Caiden, Greyson, Jackson, Emily, Kaylee, Libby, Sidney, Isabel, Anna, Lincoln, Wyatt, Jameson, Connie, Regina and Hudson; siblings: Lois Bach, Leone (Charles) Reisetter and Sandy (Jean) Jackan. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Connie Bliven and sister Jean Sabin.
