Jeffrey Landowski

–

Nekoosa, Wisconsin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Landowski on the 31st of December, 2024.

Born on the 28th of December, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI to Daniel and Maryann (Karpinski) Landowski, Jeffrey lived a rich and fulfilling life. He was a beloved husband, a dedicated Marine and Army veteran, an accomplished forklift mechanic at Chrysler, and an avid hobbyist. His zest for life, keen sense of humor, and genuine warmth will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Jeff was an embodiment of love, resilience, and creativity. He was an outstanding mechanic, known for his ability to fix anything that came his way — a testament to his love for tinkering in the garage. His passion for creating extended to the kitchen, where he relished making homemade bread and cakes, much to the delight of his family. A man of diverse interests, Jeff enjoyed keeping up on the latest technology, building things, and exploring the outdoors on his ATV and motorcycle. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, including his beloved dog, Penny.

His unwavering commitment to his country was exemplified by his active duty service in the United States Marines from 1969 - 1972, and in the United States Army in 1991 and from 2002 - 2003, followed by many years in the Army Reserves. Jeff's lasting legacy will be remembered in the hearts of his loved ones, particularly his wife, Doris Landowski, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage filled with love, mutual respect, and companionship.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Doris; two daughters, Maryjane (David) Smrekar of Racine, WI and Sherry (Aaron) Henning of Hales Corners, WI; five grandchildren: Cassie (Tony), Katlynn, Chase, Lola, and Max; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Anna; one sister, Sue (Larry) Arndt of Texas; one brother, Tom (Donna) Landowski of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
