Helga E. Sorensen

Helga was born on August 9, 1940, in Munich, Germany, and passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

She is survived by her four children: (Kristin Schwappach, Eric Sorensen, Ingrid Henning, and Heidi Sorensen); three grandchildren: (Jennifer Sorensen, Nathan Henning, and Rachel Cilento).

Helga earned an Accounting Degree at Stevens Point. She worked for many years as a homemaker and later as a Produce Inspector and Lead for the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Helga was a private and strong woman who lived by her values: practicality, authenticity, consistency and virtue. Helga found great joy in the small things - walking in nature with her dog, picking berries, working in her garden, sewing and crafting, canning apples from her apple trees, traveling, attending a good play and connecting with her close friends and family. Helga loved and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her smile and laughter will be missed and held in our hearts forever.

A private memorial service with the immediate family will be held for her in July.
