Gordon F. Burmester

Gordon F. Burmester, age 93, went to his home in heaven on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Gordon “Gordy” was born on August 10, 1930, to Albert and Emma Burmester at home in Loganville, Wisconsin, above the family store. Gordon was baptized on September 14, 1930, and confirmed in his faith. He served his country in Korea from May 1951-1953. Gordon married Alyce Janet Jones on January 21, 1956. They raised 7 children in the Christian faith. He worked as an accountant, grocer and he also worked for Kraft Foods until his retirement.
Gordy is survived by his 7 children, Donald (Terri) Burmester of Cedarburg, Mary (Greg) Rodewald of Beaver Dam, Lynn (David) Drake of Beaver Dam, Lori Stafford of Beaver Dam, David Burmester of Beaver Dam, Paul Burmester of Beaver Dam, Jenifer (Michael) Ludwiczak of Wisconsin Rapids. Gordon is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Alyce; his parents; his brothers, Donald, and David; his sister Jeanne; his son-in-law, Bruce Stafford; grandson, Nathaniel Burmester, and great grandson Ayden Stafford.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 1310 N Center St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Burial to follow with military honors at Highland Memory Gardens in Beaver Dam.
