Gloria grew up on a farm, where she learned the importance of hard work, family, and caring for others at an early age. Beginning at just 11 years old, she took great pride in helping care for her siblings. Her love for her family and her caring nature remained an important part of who she was throughout her life.
On September 1, 2001, Gloria married William "Bill" Spice in Dale, Wisconsin. Together, they shared many wonderful years filled with love, companionship, travels, and memories.
Throughout her life, Gloria held a variety of jobs and was known for her strong work ethic. She eventually retired from McCain Foods after 14 years of dedicated service.
Gloria enjoyed the simple things in life that brought her happiness. She loved traveling with Bill, reading, doing puzzles, going for rides, stopping for ice cream, enjoying flowers, and spending time with her beloved dog, Zoey. Above all, Gloria treasured time spent with her family and friends. The time she shared with those she loved meant the most to her, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Gloria is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Spice of Wisconsin Rapids; her four children, Mark Schilling of Wisconsin Rapids, Tracee (Kevin) Hohn of Alexandria, South Dakota, Randy (Andrea) Fuerst of Stevens Point, and Jamie (Jesse) Portillo of Stevens Point; and her two stepchildren, Sandy (Tom) VanAsten of Plover and Sharon (Scott) Gebelein of Stratford.
She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, John, Cody, Ryan, Garrett, Dayton, Austin, Maverick, Laura, Mariah, Valerie, Dawson, Jadyn, and Marissa; many great-grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Karen) Krebsbach; her beloved dog, Zoey; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Merwald and Maryann Krebsbach; her sister, Patricia Kubowski; her brother, Michael Krebsbach; her daughter-in-law, Ann Schilling; her beloved dogs, Shadow and Dudley; and other relatives and friends who were dear to her.
Private services for Gloria will be held at a later date.
