Geraldine “Gerry” Ann Paul, age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 2, 2026 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Peter Plagenz will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the church.
Gerry was born August 6, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI to Emroy “Roy” and Dorothy (Schwabenlender) Reupert. She was baptized on October 8, 1944 at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Milwaukee. Her parents moved and became members at Siloah Lutheran Church-WELS in Milwaukee.
She was confirmed at their home in Mequon, WI (she contracted measles and couldn’t be confirmed with her class) on April 14, 1957. After graduating from Homestead High School in Mequon, WI she attended Manpower and became a keypuncher in Menomonee, WI.
Gerry was married to Norman Paul on June 8, 1963 at Siloah Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. During their married life, they moved to several places in the states of Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Illinois.
Gerry worked at several part time jobs off and on while raising their children. She loved card stamping, reading, gardening and assorted crafts. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She was also an amazing cook and enjoyed watching hockey. She was well known as the family planner and organizer and counted each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren a blessing.
Gerry was an active member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids where she helped organize a central library, assisted with Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, was a member of various Ladies Groups, co-chaired the decorating committee, and also served on several other committees over the years. Her wish is that everyone be happy with the knowledge that because of Jesus dying for her sins, she is now in heaven with her Lord.
Gerry is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Norman Paul; seven children: Timothy “Tim” Paul, Peter “Pete” (Tami) Paul, Deborah “Deb” (Terry) Radtke, Michael (Tammy) Paul, Gregory “Greg” Paul, Elizabeth “Betsy” (D.J.) Nash, and Christina “Christy” (Michael) Carr; 15 grandchildren: Eric Paul, Austin Paul, Joshua (Emily) Radtke, Javan (Erin) Radtke, Hunter Paul, Rose Paul, Kathie (Cody) Mayne, Julia (Riley) Zehner, Miranda (Chris) Dampier, Joseph (Alyssa) Nash, Alex Nash, Nathan Nash, Isabelle “Belle” Carr, Gavin Carr, and Gwendolyn “Gwen” Carr; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Gene) Adair; nephew Randy Adair; aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be designated to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and School Library or to the church’s decorating or technology fund.
Gerry’s family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Rapids Health Services and Marshfield Medical Center-Weston for the care she received and all of the friends and congregation members who regularly visited her. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Ferreira for his exceptional care over many years.
