Elizabeth Jane Timm

Elizabeth J. Timm, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Betty was born May 19, 1939 in Marshfield, WI to John and Elizabeth (Jeffery) Ferkey. She married Floyd Spaulding Jr. on November 30, 1957. He preceded her in death. She then married Robert Timm Sr., their marriage ended in divorce.
Betty worked for Cheese Co-op until it’s closing and then Basic American Foods until retirement.
Betty enjoyed shopping, puzzles and spending time with family, especially during the holidays and at events. She loved going to lunch and casino trips with her best friend Sue Rydell. She was an avid shopper who was always seeking a good bargain. She enjoyed taking long drives and love to travel and camp in her retirement years.
Betty was loved by all! Everyone commented on her strength as well as her care for anyone she came across. She was loved by all her children’s friends who affectionately called her mom or grandma. Mama/grandma would tell you to smile and laugh when you think of her, not filled with sadness but joy with a life filled with family.
Betty is survived by her children: Brad Spaulding (Amy Meyer), Pam Getzloff, Donna (Curt) Jacoby, and Robert Timm Jr.; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren (with one grandson expected in April 2024); two brothers: Laverne Ferkey of Cottonwood, CA and Bob (Bonnie) Ferkey of Plover, WI; and sister, Carol (Ed) Risch of Alton, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jane Neuman, John Ferkey, and Leo Neuman; son, Rick Spaulding; daughter, Debra Stanke; son-in-law, Jerry Getzloff; grandchildren: Shaun Spaulding, Jeremy Getzloff, Rick Spaulding, and Jennifer Getzloff; great-great-grandchild Damion McCandless; and brother, Jack Ferkey.
The family would like to thank Becky Lemke for her exceptional care that she provided and the Riverview Hospital for the compassionate care that Betty received.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
