Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Douglas Robert Kelley was born April 17, 1961, it is with great sadness to announce his passing on July 3, 2025, at his home. He was born to Robert and Shirley Kelley in Marshfield, WI where they lived in unity, later moving to Wisconsin Rapids and then resided in Rudolph. He attended Lincoln High School where hi then joined the US Army. He married the love of his life Michelle LaBarge and they had two beautiful sons Jake and Luke, their marriage later ended in divorce, although they always kept a special bond and friendship with each other. Doug will always remembered for making people laugh and making friends with anyone. Doug’s pride and joy in life was his boys, he loved spending any time he could with them, whether it was teaching them at a young age to ride their dirt bikes to later riding their Harley’s together on road trips or just having heart to heart conversations and laughs together. He was so proud to be called their dad. He later had grandchildren Jayda and Jacob that would melt his heart, and he now became “Papa Doug”. In addition to his grandchildren, his grand dogs “Blue Boy and Hemi” Doug would sneak snacks to them.
Doug had the heart of a teddy bear even though he would sometimes give someone a hard time just to make them laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest whether it was cookouts, camping, motorcycle rides, corn mazes, dancing to his favorite song or singing even though he said he didn’t like to dance, road trips or just walking into the store and striking up a conversation with a stranger and making a new friend. We can't forget his bond that he had with his sister Pam as they were always known as the "troublemakers" those two together always knew how to make everyone have a good time. Doug believed in building not just structures but also relationships that cand stand the test of time. “Doug K no last names”” ABC conversation C your way out”.
Doug is survived by his sons, Jake and Luke; his grandchildren, Jayda and Jacob; his mother, Shirley Kelley; his ex-wife and special friend, Michelle (Mike) Labarge Lewis; his sisters and brothers; Peg (Steve) Janz, Pam (Tim) Walker, Paul (Lisa) Kelley and Dave (Patti) Kelley; nieces and nephews, Kristin (Quentin) Ellis, Zach (Michelle) Janz, Stephanie (Mark) Sabatke, Kelli (Dyllon) Walker, Kyle (Liz) Walker, Brittany (Matt) Kelley and Amanda Kelley.
