Doris E. Luing Obituary (1941 - 2024) - Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Doris E. Luing, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Wisconsin Rapids Health Services. She was born on May 15, 1941, in Bolivar, Tennessee. The daughter of James and Callie Whaley. Doris earned her nursing degree from Midstate Technical College. She worked as a nursing assistant until her retirement. Doris loved animals, she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels, she also enjoyed crocheting, reading romance novels as well as cooking and baking. Doris is survived by her daughters, Donna Weigel and Shelby (Charles) Wellnitz and by her son Renny (Rose) Weigel. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant sister. Doris’s wishes were for no service. The family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Rapids Health Care as well as Heartland Hospice for all the care they gave Doris.
