Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 31 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the church.

Donna was born on November 15, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Howard and Frances (Lukasavage) Freeberg. She attended Lone Birch School and Lincoln High School. She married Roswald Pietz on June 28, 1958 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner.
Donna and Roswald made Wisconsin Rapids their home, where Donna masterfully assumed the role of a dedicated homemaker. She was a beacon of warmth and comfort, known for conjuring culinary magic in her kitchen. Her sourdough bread and potato dumplings were legendary within her family, a testament to her loving hands and caring heart.

Donna not only made her home a sanctuary of love and warmth, but she also extended her affection beyond her family by serving on the Altar Guild at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. She found peace and fulfilment in her faith, and her devotion was an inspiring example to all. Donna's love for nature was evident in her frequent visits to the family cottage on the Chippewa Flowage, where she enjoyed fishing and canoe rides. She was the life of family gatherings, her joy and energy contagious, and she had a knack for making everyone feel special. Donna, an avid Farkle player, believed in the power of games to bring people together.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Roswald Pietz; her cherished children, Roger Pietz Sr., Dan (Becky) Pietz, and Pam (Ed) Skiba; her brother, Jerry Freeberg; her precious grandchildren: Roger Pietz Jr., Sally (Marty) Barnes, April (Andy) Nelson, Tyler Skiba, and Paula Skiba; great-grandchildren: Noah, Holly, and Curtis Krejcarek; and her in-laws, Carlton Pietz and Helen Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Frances Freeberg; brother, Howard (Mary) Freeberg; daughter-in-law, Paula Pietz; brother-in-law, Gordon Mitchell; and sisters-in-law, Judy Pietz and Mildred Freeberg.
