Donald Vollert

Donald A. Vollert, age 66, of Arpin, WI passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Don was born August 1, 1957 in Marshfield, WI to William and LaVerne (Clouse) Vollert. He graduated from Auburndale High School with the class of 1976. He married Florine Bertl Kuchynka on May 8, 1982 in Arpin, WI. She died on December 9, 2000.
Don worked as a garbage truck driver in Wisconsin Rapids for many years, retiring due to disability.
Don was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was devoted Green Bay Packer fan, an expert dart and pool player, and a dedicated collector of numerous things. His artistic side was evident in his craft of making knives and creating chandeliers from deer antlers, which are pieces of art cherished by many.
Don is survived by his daughter, Tracey Huber; siblings: Bonnie (Keith) Skattebo, Valarie Friday, Richard (Lynn) Vollert, Diane (Roger) Scheunemann, Daniel (Shirley) Vollert, Darrell (Karen) Vollert, Cindy (John) Fay, Karmen (Rick) Bouma, and Karrie (Todd) Pask; sister-in-law Cheryl Vollert; brother-in-law Doug Carolfi; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florine; sons, Jesse and Tim; brother, Billy Vollert; sisters, Connie Carolfi and Sharon Vincent; brother-in-law, Daryl Friday; sisters-in-law, Lori Vollert and Valerie Vollert; and nephews: Louis, Devin and Dustin.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held from 2:00-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
