Diane R. Bannerman

–

Nekoosa, Wisconsin

Loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Diane R. Bannerman’s love of life did not end with her death. Diane passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 66, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer, surrounded by her family, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and always remembering the love and pride she had for her family.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 10611 Hwy. 13 South Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church.

Diane was born to Norman and Rose Pech on April 3, 1958. Diane is survived by three siblings, Brenda Exner, Ronnie (Amy) Pech, and Janice (Bruce) Murphy. Diane was a Necedah High School graduate and earned two associate degrees from Mid-State Technical College. Diane was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald K. Bannerman, on September 23, 1978. They had two children: Ryan (Laura) Bannerman and Bobbi (Robert) Jewison. Diane's pure pride and joy came with her four grandchildren: Jonathon Bannerman, Isabella Jewison, Iliyanna Jewison, and Izareeya Jewison. When Diane felt her heart could not be filled anymore, she became a Great Grandmother to Roy’el Keaton. Diane was blessed with two step-grandchildren, Samantha Weber and Thersia Weber, and two step-great-granddaughters, Aliyah McCracken and Aurora Ostrander. Diane’s heart was also filled by her love for all her nieces and nephews and special Godchildren. Diane is also survived by her mother-in-law, Iva Bannerman, two brothers-in-law, Howard (Cindy) Bannerman and Craig (Jamie) Bannerman, and sister-in-law, Jolene (Norman) Amell.
Diane had a solid work ethic. Diane was raised on the family farm, where there was never a shortage of work. After graduating college, Diane worked in several departments for Wood County for thirty-plus years. After building their new house, Diane and Ron moved from Nekoosa to the Town of Rome in 2001. Diane enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, canning, and going out on the pontoon with her family. Diane always made sure that everyone she encountered was positively impacted that she would cross paths with. Diane always displayed love and kindness to everyone and was ready to help anyone in need. Diane also spent some time on the town board for Rome.
You would always find Grandma reading or making cookies with her grandchildren. It did not matter if you were hungry; if you were at Diane’s and left hungry, that was your fault. Diane enjoyed cooking and baking so much that it is believed that she may have every cookbook published, along with every new cooking gadget found on QVC or HSN.
Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bannerman, mother, Rose Pech, nephew, Derrick Exner, and father-in-law, Richard Bannerman.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.
