Delores J. "Dee" Danielson Obituary (1941

Delores J. Danielson "Dee," age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, February 17, 2023 at The House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family. Dee was born July 6, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids to Gerald and Ferne (Leiser) Wallace. She was raised in Port Edwards, Wisconsin with her older sister Joyce and younger brother Gerry. She graduated from John Edwards High School in Port Edwards in 1959. A mutual friend introduced Glen E. Danielson to Dee in 1959. The two married January 23, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. Together they raised four children in the Port Edwards and Wisconsin Rapids area. In 1970, Dee began her career at Shopko, she held many positions through her time there until retirement at age 63. She spent the early years of her retirement alongside her close friends, tending to the beautiful flowers at Reeve's Greenhouse. Glen and Dee enjoyed camping trips to the Black Hills in South Dakota and to northern Wisconsin. They both really enjoyed the annual couples fishing trip to Lake Oneida. Together they visited friends and family in Florida and Arizona. Dee and Glen also attended many of their children & grandchildren's sporting events. Dee had a love for playing games with family and friends, canasta was one of her favorites. She enjoyed participating on a bowling league for several years. She took pride in her beautiful knitting, which allowed her to knit adorable baptismal outfits for all of her grandchildren. Oftentimes gifting others with afghans, mittens, socks and scarves. She sang in church choir for many years and had a beautiful singing voice. She had a love of country music and especially enjoyed her trips to Nashville and Branson. She was proud to tell of the time she went backstage to meet the country duo, Brooks & Dunn. Delores' greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Glen; children: Cindy (Jeff) Daugherty, Cheri (Mark Jensen) Kronstedt and David Danielson; grandchildren: Josh (Samanatha) Daugherty, Emily (Chris) Watson, Sara (Trevin) Price, Calli Kronstedt, Aaron (Brooklynn) Kronstedt, Luke (Samantha) Kronstedt, Ethan Kronstedt, Carli (Eric) Winter, Kaleb Kronstedt, Derek Danielson, Ashley Danielson, Savannah Danielson, Darin Danielson and Sheila Danielson; great-grandchildren: Madison, Niamh, Elizabeth, Jack, Kash, Arleaux, Kalynn, Keiarra, Shawn, Kamden, Stefen, Kinsley, Londyn and Brinley; siblings: Joyce (Dale) Loomans and Gerald (Pat) Wallace; sister-in-law Marica (Kevin) Taylor; brother-in-law Paul (Jean) Danielson. Dee has many special nieces, nephews and long time friends. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother in-law: Edsil (Emily) Danielson, beloved son Mark, infant brother Kenneth, and sister-in-law Beverly Anderson. Services will be Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a luncheon at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Dr. Carlton Andersen will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
