David Kleiber

David E. Kleiber, 84, of Stratford passed away on Thursday September 24, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 7, 1941 in Wausau, to Edward and Mildred (Knudson) Kleiber. He married Kathrine Mootz in Wausau; they later divorced. David then married Adelle, who preceded him in death. After her passing, he met and became engaged to Kathryn Miller (who preceded him in death). David retired at Kolbe & Kolbe where he worked at for 27 years. David enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, nature, playing cards, Yahtzee, and dancing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him.

David is survived by (4) Children: Laurie (Keith) Withers of Stratford, Kay (James) Kratwell of Mosinee, Scott (Jancy) Kleiber of Wausau, and Kim Kratwell of Wausau. (12) Grandchildren: Kurt, Joshua, Zachary, Timothy, Garrett, Carson, Sierra, Justin, Alesha (Jamen Petit), Bryton (Hannah), Jacob (Kaylee Devenney), and Amanda Peel. (14) Great-Grandchildren. (4) Siblings: Shirley Wunrow, Patricia Kurth, Sharon (Robert) Anderson, and Dennis (Kathryn) Dobeck and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine, in 2003; his wife Adelle, son-in-law, Daniel Kratwell in 2025; and 3 siblings; Janet Hickey, Ruth Russ, and Mary Bennett

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
