David Buser

David Edwin Buser, age 79, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in his home with his wife by his side.

David was born on October 11,1946 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, to Bernie and Rita (Ott) Buser. David attended school in Ozaukee County and after high school graduation went on to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UW Milwaukee. David served his country in the United States Army Reserves. David moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1978 for a position at Consoweld Corporation. After several years and receiving his certification for public accounting, he opened his own accounting firm in Wisconsin Rapids until retiring.

David married Jane Ann Knotts on December 10, 2018, and together, they owned and ran the much-loved Dairy Treat until selling the business due to health issues. David enjoyed Fantasy Football and occasional trips to casinos.

David is survived by his mother: Rita Buser; wife: Jane “Ann” Buser; two sons: Jeffrey Buser and David Buser; step daughter: Kate (Alex) Chaney; brother: Dale (Shelly) Buser; sister: Diane (Tom Furan) Wendland; and his step grandchildren: Sawyer, Winston, Pippa and Evelyn Chaney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Buser and his first wife, Barbara Buser.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 2:00 PM until the hour of service at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Casual Attire is preferred per families wishes.
