David E. Bean

David E. Bean, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 18, 1937, in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Richard and Olive (Anderson) Bean. Dave married Jean L. Parmeter on June 6, 1958. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2013.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Dave worked as a Papermachine Superintendent for Consolidated Papers until his retirement after 38 years of service. Dave enjoyed cruising on the river, golfing, baking, an occasional Manhattan, and wood working. He received the prestigious “Woody” award for some of his work that was featured in Wood Magazine. But most of all he loved his family; he was an awesome husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend. He had quite the sense of humor and always had a joke or an inappropriate nursery rhyme for everyone whether he knew them or not. He will be deeply missed by his children: Kevin Richard Bean, Jennifer (Greg) Koback, and Brandon (Tina) Bean, his grandchildren: Dale Presley, Spencer (Rachel) Bean, Olivia Bean, Casie (Ben) Borek, Ryan (Cecily) Fuller, Joe (Krystin) Fuller, Sara (Josh) Muszynski, Casey (Autumn) Koback, Kyle (Alice) Koback, Alex Bean, and Jason Bean, and his great-grandchildren: Addison, Kyndel, Blakley and Morty. He is further survived by his sister Jan Dietz, dear friend Andrea Dreier (and family) and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years Jean, his daughter Heather Bean in 1977, his sister Judy (William) Schroeder, his brother-in-law Clyde Dietz, and by a special friend Phoebe McReynolds.
