Dale E. Fisher, age 69, of Wisconsin Rapids (Town of Sigel) rode off to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 28, 2025 when he passed away at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 18 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday.
Dale was born October 1, 1956 in Wisconsin Rapids to Ernest and Irene (Haferman) Fisher. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974. He married Jeanne Senn on September 8, 1979 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Altdorf.
Dale’s life, like a well-plowed field, was rich with experiences, fruitful in accomplishments, and brimming with the beauty of simple, honest living.
Dale was a man of the soil, a lifelong farmer who followed faithfully in the sturdy footsteps of his father, Ernest Fisher. His love for the land was mirrored in his deep affection for all things Western and horses. An avid reader, Dale found solace and inspiration in the pages of Louis L'Amour novels. He was a cowboy at heart, drawn to the freedom and resilience embodied by the characters he admired. As John Wayne said, “Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.” Dale lived by this creed, facing each day with determination and unwavering courage, whether he was tending to his farm or enjoying his hobby of trap and target shooting. His devotion extended beyond the fields and into his home, where he cherished his beloved wife, his children and grandchildren.
Dale was a man of strong faith, active in leadership at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sigel where he served as vice president for four years and president of the congregation for 14 years. In addition to farming, Dale was treasurer for Seneca Sigel Mutual Insurance company for many years, and worked as a crop adjuster for Rural Crop Insurance Services.
Dale leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unyielding devotion to his family and the land. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; three children and their spouses; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother; one sister-in-law; four goddaughters; one godson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and one sister-in-law.
Dale’s family would like to thank the entire Aspirus care network and the staff at Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids for the exceptional care he received.
