Connie Thompson

Connie Thompson, 64, of Adams, WI passed away on November 19, 2024, after her brave journey with cancer, showing remarkable strength and courage throughout. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to get stronger. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Connie was born on November 11, 1960, to Chester and Theresa Thompson in Butler, PA. In 1975, Connie met former spouse, Robert DuBois, Sr., and they went on to have three children together and remained friends after the end of their marriage. Connie spent her last 16 years with her fiancé, Ray Scofield.

As a mother of three, grandmother of seven, aunt of many, and honorary aunt or grandmother to many, Connie was the heart of her family. Connie’s greatest joy came from nurturing her family. Her kitchen was always open, and she made sure no one went hungry. She was delighted to share her recipes with family and friends.

Beyond Connie’s role as a mother and grandmother, she was an avid dog lover. Her most recent “boys” were two loving pitbulls. They were her babies for over fifteen years. They, too, were spoiled and never ate dog food because that wasn’t good enough for them. She made sure she cooked them special breakfasts and dinners with real ingredients. Another passion of Connie’s was photography. As an amateur photographer, she took plenty of pictures of her children, grandchildren, and dogs to capture her precious memories.

Connie was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Chester Thompson; sister, Cathy Boofer; and brother, Chester Thompson.

Connie is survived by her children, Angela DuBois, Beverly (Jason) Holte, Robert (Deidre) DuBois, Jr.; her fiancé, Ray Scofield; her grandchildren, Jared (Jessica) DuBois, Jordan (Noelle) DuBois, Carter Holte, Emma Davis, Hanna Davis, Carlee Holte, and Madilyn Ringersma; brother, Sam (Cheryl) Thompson; along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

We will remember Connie for her loving nature, her compassion, kindness, grace, love of family and friends, and even her endearing stubbornness. We will miss Connie dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.

Connie’s Celebration of Life will be at Rib Falls Town Hall in Edgar, WI located at 232343 County Road S, Edgar, WI on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:30 AM.

Connie’s family wants to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Agrace hospice care team, as well as St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo for the incredible love and support shown to them. Their unwavering commitment to providing comfort and dignity has touched them deeply. Thank you for your gentle guidance through Connie’s journey.
