Charlotte Harrison

Charlotte Marie Harrison (McClellan), aged 89, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Homestead Living Memory Care in Waunakee, WI. She was cared for by the loving staff of Homestead Living and Heartland Hospice.

Charlotte was born in Trout Creek, MI, to William "Joe" and Erna (Graebel) McClellan. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Jack C. Harrison, at All Saints Catholic Church in Babcock, WI. She was the proud mother of four children: Jeffrey Harrison (passed away in 1974), Colleen Webster (husband John) of Waunakee, WI, Christie Tilkens (husband Michael) of Green Bay, WI, and Sister Carla Mary Harrison, of Lima, Peru. She was also the proud grandma of grandchildren Preston Webster, Harrison Webster, Cora Webster, and Lincoln Webster.

She worked many years as a registered nurse at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, and Riverview Manor, Wisconsin Rapids. After hanging up her stethoscope as a nurse, she continued on as an activities director at the nursing home, until she finally retired in 2019.

In her free time, Charlotte had a passion for gardening and plants, spending many joyful hours outside digging in the dirt. Her green thumb brought beauty and life to her surroundings. She also enjoyed reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Charlotte is survived by her three daughters and four grandchildren, brother Gerald McClellan, sister-in-law Linda McClellan, sister-in-law Carol McClellan, brother-in-law Don Burghardt, sister-in-law Karen McClellan, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harrison, son Jeffrey Harrison, sister Patricia Cowles, sister Dorothy Burghardt, brother Don McClellan, and brother Robert McClellan.

A memorial celebration honoring Charlotte's life will be held at Herman Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday, June 13 from 2:30-4:30 pm. Donations may be made in Charlotte's honor to her daughter, Sr. Carla Mary's mission in Lima, Peru at:
