Carol J. Bruner, age 73, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at her residence.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Carol was born February 26, 1952 in Wisconsin Rapids to Record and Doris (Klink) Bruner of Cranmoor, WI. In 1971, she moved to Kellner to live with her sister Marge (Larry) Rumble and their family. She enjoyed working at Opportunity Development Center in Wisconsin Rapids until her retirement.
Carol’s interests included television (programs on Channel 7 and certain animal shows), arts and crafts, word searches, space shuttles, and traveling. She was a huge fan of horse races and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed swimming at the South Wood County YMCA and participating in Special Olympic swimming events.
Carol enlightened those around her with her unique ways, and brought new perspectives to her family through her special awareness of things. She enriched their days with her gentleness, compassion, and patience. Her loss leaves a huge void in her family’s lives, but everlasting memories in their hearts.
Left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Mary Bruner. She is now reunited with her parents; two brothers: Jack and Jim Bruner; three sisters: Bev Lau, Eileen Schroeder, and Marjorie (Larry) Rumble; and great-niece Brianna Rumble.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.
