Brenda Piltz

Brenda Kay Piltz (Hocking), 58, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away at home on May 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Brenda was born in Wisconsin Rapids on September 28, 1965 to Diane Marie (Berry) and Roy Edward Hocking. She married Ken John Piltz on January 2, 2005. Brenda worked for the JC Penney Company.

She enjoyed camping, crocheting, fishing, hunting, hiking and repelling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Ken; children: Brandon (Julie) Bertotto, Brice (Kota) Bertotto, Brianna (Jay) Bertotto; step-sons: Mike Piltz and John Piltz; grandchildren: Caden Bertotto, Braylon Bertotto, Jayce Bertotto, Vitali Bertotto, and JJ Supple; siblings: Kaci Hocking and Rachelle (Oscar) Hocking and numerous foster sisters; and her guardian children Brody Rakoci and Ben Rakoci.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Diane (Berry) Hocking.

The family would like to thank the staffs of the University of Wisconsin – Madison Hospital and Transplant Clinics.
