Bradley Smith Sr.

Bradley W. Smith Sr. “Hone-wan-rk-k”, age 76, Town of Seneca, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at his residence.

Commitment services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Cex Haci Community Building in Nekoosa. Christian Roth will officiate. Burial will be at Dexterville Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Joseph J. White American Legion Post. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Sunday at Cex Haci.

Brad was born October 26, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids to Lot and Ruth (Twinn) Smith. He graduated from Pittsville High School in 1966. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1970-1972. He married Elizabeth Longtail, she passed away in 1981. He later married Bonnie Prescott, their marriage ended in divorce.
Brad worked for area cranberry marshes when he was younger and later for the State Highway Department doing road maintenance for 12 years.

He was a proud member of the White Cross Native American Church and an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and ATV riding. He also enjoyed playing card games, especially Cribbage. Brad looked forward to fall trips to Winnebago to attend Pow-Wows. He had a great sense of humor and always liked to joke around.

Brad is survived by his brothers, Charles Smith Sr. and Gregory Smith; sister, Edith Prescott; step-children: Daniel Prescott, Dylan Prescott, and Maunee Daniels; and grandson Olin Danger Prescott. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons: We-Ro-Nuc-Ka, Cha-Ska, and Bradley Smith Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Georgine; siblings: Anthony Smith, Joseph Yellowthunder and Isabel (Yellowthunder) Guerrero.
