Beautiful Delilah The day we met you stole my heart. Beautiful Delilah, as John named you, you were in the worst physical condition of any living cat I had ever seen. I will wonder as long as I live what your story was. Had you been loved and lost, or had you always been on your own? Regardless, life hadn't been kind. It broke my heart. No matter how life had gone before you ended up at South Wood County Humane Society, it changed with their gentle care and love. When it was decided you had plateaued, I brought you home as a foster in hospice. We thought you had a couple of weeks, and I just wanted to love you and spoil you every day you had left. Tina hoped you'd make it until December and then until January. I adopted you on January 13, 2025, because it was important to me that you officially had a family. You surprised us all and thrived. We had 10 months together. We believe that having a loving home, the companionship of a human and furry family, a cushy space to call your own... along with the wonderful care Dr. Ponce and crew gave you made all the difference. I also believe you lived for unlimited Hydra Care, Gerber chicken baby food, treats, and your heated mat. I loved to fuss over you. You deserved the best. I don't know when you were born, but on August 1, 2025, my heart broke when we parted. You left behind your family and special friends Rudy, Callie, and Logan.
