Barbara Williams

Barbara A. Williams, age 95, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Arborview Court in Wisconsin Rapids.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 20 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born July 20, 1929 in Evanston, IL to Chester and Sarah (Maguire) Larson. Her marriage to Lyle Stoflet ended in divorce. She married Vernon Williams on June 1, 1974 in Wisconsin Rapids. He passed away on September 6, 2009.

Barbara owned and operated The Caravan bar in Wisconsin Rapids for several years. She also worked at The Sugar Bowl restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids for many years and Del Monte foods. After retiring from Del Monte, she worked in home healthcare.

Barbara was also a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and going out to eat with her friends. Later in life the highlight of her week was getting her nails done by her great-granddaughter Cherish.

Barbara is survived by two children: Sarah (Ronnie) Moss of Wisconsin Rapids and Lyle “Bill” Stoflet of Marshfield; bonus-children: Terry Williams of Plainfield, WI, Tim Williams of Wisconsin Rapids, Connie (Don) Cody of Highland, WI, Sandra (Don) Makovec of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren: Michael Stoflet, Bobbie (Kirsty) Haddow, Kody Stoflet, Jason Stoflet, TJ Williams, and Steve Williams; and great-grandchildren: Cherish Stoflet, Virginia Haddow, Angelina Haddow, Brandon Stoflet, Jackson Stoflet, Anthony Garcia, Adrianah Luellan, and Mario Davila. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern; three sons: Michael, Thomas, and Mark Stoflet; granddaughter, Nastasha Stoflet; three sisters: Emily, Phyllis, and Peggy; and one brother, Chuck.
