Barbara J. Smith

Barbara J. Smith, age 70, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024.
Memorial Services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Crossview Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church.
Barbara was born on November 4, 1953, in Richmond Virginia, the daughter of Alfred and Ethel (Cleveland) Lowe. She graduated from L.A. Webber High School in Lyndonville, New York. Barbara served her country in the United States Air Force from 1975-1979.
Barbara worked as a forester for the federal government. She also worked with families providing in-home care. She was united in marriage to Willard J. Smith on May 16, 1980. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage. Barbara was a member of Crossview Church, she volunteered, taught bible study and children’s church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Ella Marie Graf and her significant other, Russ Sarnowski; granddaughter, Amber Graf and her significant other, Tony Hernandez; great-grandchildren: Elaina Hernandez, Ellie Hernandez, and Eliza Hernandez; sister, Lutetia McAdoo; nieces, Melissa Lewis-Jones and Kari Goff and family. She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in law. she is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willard on March 19, 2021; her granddaughter, Sydney Jean Marie Graf; and by her niece, Jennifer McCoach.
