Barbara Johnson

Barbara A. Johnson, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Willow Brooke Senior Living in Stevens Point.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Ritter will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born March 9, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids to Clinton and Yvonne (Spry) Vechinski. Her marriage to John Kutella ended in divorce. She later married Roger Johnson. He preceded her in death in 2019.

Barbara worked in admitting at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids for many years, and later for River Cities Cab.

Barbara enjoyed crafting, stamping and coloring. She crocheted caps for newborns and donated them to area hospitals. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. She had a knack for making everybody feel special. She liked playing cribbage and camping in earlier years. Barbara loved all kinds of music and was a huge Neil Diamond fan. She was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan.

Barbara is survived by two sons: Wade Kutella (Amy Lobner) of Wausau, WI and Mark (Cindy) Kutella of Franklin, WI; grandchildren: Kāla Kutella (Adam), Courtney Kutella (Tanner), Emma Kutella, Justin (Katie) Kutella, and Kurtis Kutella (Coutrney); great-grandchildren: Adam Jr., Kaiden, Kiyra, Layla, Aryella, Oliver, Alessi, and Crew; brother, Mike (Terry) Vechinski of Wausau, WI; and nephew, Ben (Noor) Vechinski of Wausau, WI and their daughter, Leila. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roger Johnson.
