Ashley Groholski

–

Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Ashley Lynn (Kuter) Groholski, age 30, of Wisconsin Rapids entered into God’s kingdom on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 following a hard fought, courageous battle with osteosarcoma.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Carlton Andersen will officiate. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, June 13 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.

Ashley was born September 22, 1994 in Wisconsin Rapids to Randy Kuter and Amy Herman. She graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 2013, and furthered her education obtaining an associate’s degree in business from Mid-State Technical College. She married Cody Groholski on March 15, 2019 in Stevens Point.

She found her calling as a Power Plant Operator at ND Papers in Biron, a role she performed with unwavering commitment. She was proud of her work at the mill and was eager to return to a job she truly loved.

Ashley enjoyed listening to music of all genres and attending concerts. She was a talented artist and loved playing music whether it be guitar, bass, viola, or violin. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and loved watching games with her uncle Kip.

Ashley’s hobbies included fishing, going to dirt track races, and riding side by side UTVs and motorcycle. She also loved riding her beloved horse, Tucker. These pastimes reflected her vibrant spirit and her love for life and adventure.

One of Ashley's most cherished accomplishments was the small farm she created with her loving husband, Cody. Named Hidden Creek Ranch, it was her haven, where she found joy in caring for cows, chickens, and rabbits and feeding and watching the wild birds. This achievement was a manifestation of her love for nature, her strength of character, and her nurturing spirit.

Ashley is survived by her husband Cody and their daughter, Remy; father, Randy Kuter; mother, Amy (Dave) Houtevelde; paternal grandparents, Diane (Ed) Sell and Jack Kuter; maternal grandparents, Ron (Elaine) Herman; aunts and uncles: Justin (Roxanne) Herman, Heather (Dwayne) Malcolm, and Jeremy (Jessica) Herman; cousins: Jordan Herman, Bryanna Malcolm, Elijah Malcolm, Makayla Herman, Matthew Herman, Nicole Bliske, Katie Herman, Jeremy Herman, and Justis Herman; other extended family members; and a community of supporters and friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; uncles: Kirby “Kip” Kuter, Rick Kuter, and Mike Kuter; and step-grandmother, Janet Kuter.

Ashley requested that any memorial donations be directed to the UW Madison Carbone Cancer Center or the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The family would like to thank Ashley’s oncology team at UW Hospital Madison, Dr. Howard Bailey and all the nurses and staff on B6, Dr. Michael Nakazawa and staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, and all the kind and compassionate staff at the cancer infusion center at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids.

In the words of Emily Dickinson, "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality." While Ashley may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
