Armin Peck

Armin J. Peck, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at The Waterford of Wisconsin Rapids.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2534.

Armin was born July 26, 1940 in Wisconsin Rapids to William and Alma (Lassa) Peck. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1960. He married Janice Lang on March 31, 1970 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Rudolph.

Armin was a heavy equipment operator with Local Operating Engineers Local 139. He worked for JL Sullivan and Sons, Tork Trucking, and Superior Landfill, retiring after over 40 years of service.

Armin was a proud Life Member of VFW Post 2534 in Wisconsin Rapids. He loved the outdoors, especially time spent on his land near Vesper hunting deer and turkeys and tending to his small apple orchard. He also enjoyed salmon, trout and ice fishing. Armin loved to frequent local taverns to sign in and hang out with his buddies, and travel to Las Vegas to take in shows and try his luck at the casinos.

Armin is survived by his loving wife, Janice; two children: Denise (Gary) LaMarche of Wisconsin Rapids and Dennis (Lori) Peck of Wausau; four grandchildren: Cassandra LaMarche, Brandon LaMarche, Hannah Peck, and Megan Peck; sister, Diane Aycock of Texas; and brother, William “Billy” (Sally) Peck Jr. of Green Bay. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene and Pat; and sisters, Marilyn “Susie” and Judy.
