Anthony Joseph "AJ" Patkus Obituary

AJ (Anthony Joseph) Patkus, our Silver lab (named after both mine and Bette-Ann Borges Patkus dad's first and middle name), passed early this morning. He gave us and many others, 11 years of love, laughs, memories, and joy. He's in doggy heaven with his brother Botie (Chocolate Lab) and brother from another mother Myja(German Shepherd) and I'm confident him and Bo are fetching an infinite amount of tennis balls. AJ has traveled the country in our RV with us. He has made many friends over the years. He had a deep bark, was 116 pound big boy, looked like a tough guy, and was always ready to lick your face. His big wagging tail has done plenty of damage over the years. He spent the last few years with his sister from another mother, KC the cat. AJ and Bette-Ann had a strong bond, and she was definitely the Alpha. She's the only one he ever listened to. I was the buddy that would always get us into trouble. AJ was a ninja, who could disappear within a single head turn and end up 2 yards away. I'll miss the morning fetching, nibbling his face, and rough play/fighting sessions. He's in a better place with no more pain, ripping the squeakers out of dog toys. We're gonna miss petting his super soft head, his handsome face, his smile(including his Elvis face), rubbing his belly, and his unconditional love.
