Ann Scott

Ann Marie Scott, age 82, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026.
Ann was born May 23, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Michael and Anna (Theodoroff) Costoff.

She was raised in Chicago and Antioch, Illinois, graduating from Antioch High School in 1961.

Ann attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin where she met her husband of 55 years, Jim Scott (nee Drago). They were married in 1970.

After residing in the Milwaukee area, Ann and Jim moved to Houston, Texas in 1976 and in 1982 they opened an Ace Hardware store in Atascocita, outside oof Humble, Texas. They spent nearly two decades operating the store. Ann enjoyed the challenges of the retail culture.

She enjoyed the companionship of dogs, owning several different small breeds over the years: Lhasa Apso, Schnauzers, Welsh Terrier, Fox Terrier, and Jack Russell Terriers.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Flammino; and three brothers: August Costoff, Robert Costoff, and Theodore Costoff. She is survived by her husband, Jim; and two nieces: Mary (Joseph) Ashbeck of Grand Rapids, WI and Carolann (Carl) Freundl of Oshkosh, WI.

Private family burial will be held at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. At the request of the family, there will be no funeral services.
