Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Angelia Jo Hill, age 49, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon Jim Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Angie was born on May 1, 1975, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, to Mathew and Cindy (Nabbefeldt) Kehrberg. She attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1993. She married Sean Hill on May 4, 1996. Although the marriage ended in divorce, she was so proud to have become a mom during those years. She attended Mid-State Technical College, graduating in May 2024 with a certificate in Culinary Fundamentals. She wanted to continue her schooling by taking pastry courses and had a dream of owning her own food truck.

Angie loved life and all who were in hers. She was kind and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to make someone smile by cooking or baking something for them; helping them put wedding flowers together or just hanging out with them in her kitchen, around her island, drinking wine or coffee, talking and jamming to music. She loved trying new foods, especially with her son. Whether she liked them or not, she loved to tell people she at least tried them. Everything sparkly, glittery, shiny and green were her forte and she could sing any 80’s song to perfection. She also had an unsettling amount of True Crime knowledge and was quick to share details of a current Court TV trial. Whether you knew about the trial or not, you did by the end of the conversation and were quite often intrigued to watch the trial yourself so you could compare notes with her later.

Despite her health issues, she was often more concerned with how everyone else was feeling. She was loved by so many, and it was especially evident by the family and friends who prayed, came to visit or called to check in, while she was in the hospital. She was a rare and beautiful soul who will be dearly missed but her love and legacy will live on through the lives of the individuals she saved by her selfless act of organ and tissue donation.

Survivors include her son Griffin (fiance Abby) Hill, mother Cindy (Paul) Goldenstern and sisters Stephanie (Bill) Jaminski and Sarah (Kevin) Stanton. Father Mathew (Kathy) Kehrberg Sr., sisters Melissa Bungert and Lindsay (Ryan) Rowe and brothers Mathew (Barb) Kehrberg Jr., Austyn Kehrberg and Tyler (Ashley) Raab. She loved her nieces Liberty, Haley, Staria and Saphiera and her nephews Hayden and Hudson to the moon and back. In addition to special aunt Bonnie (Mark) Kealiher, she is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and a massive number of friends. Her fur babies, Lucy, Punkin, and Rusty, will miss her treats, love, and snuggles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Joann and Lyle (#55) Nabbefeldt, paternal grandparents Palma and Victor Kehrberg, cousins Jacinda Fenske and PV1 Forrest Prohl, Aunt Caroline Casper and Bonus Mom Rose Olson.

Angie’s family would like to extend special thanks to the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, EMTs and Paramedics, the incredible doctors, nurses and staff at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay and the UW Organ and Tissue Donation team.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to UW Organ and Tissue Donation Services.

To honor Angie, we strongly encourage you to wear something sparkly, glittery, green, and/or stylishly 80’s.
