Alice was born on March 17, 1926, in Pittsville, WI to Adolph and Margaret (Roth) Roginski. She was her parents’ 5th child. But 1st daughter to be born. Alice, being a young bride, married George Ralph Lucas on May 29, 1943, in Pittsville, WI. They welcomed four children within 6 years of their marriage - Judy Ann, Joan Lee, Thomas Allen and Toni Marie.
Our mother proved to be quite the entrepreneur. She helped our father build a thriving business in Wisconsin Rapids. Lucas Implement. She sold her first tractor for the company and even delivered it to the customer. Amidst helping with the family business, she ventured out and purchased numerous properties to utilize as rentals. After selling a rental home, she purchased George’s and her first home in Long Boat Key, Florida to avoid the cold Wisconsin Weather. Our mom could be seen in her earlier years exercising at the YMCA and in her later years taking long walks in the neighborhood. A healthy lifestyle was very important to her. Mom’s favorite television shows were QVC and HSN which were demonstrated though her decorating skills and love of fashion. She loved spending time with her friends and cherished spending time with family.
