Louis Carl Hoffman Jr, age 57, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2018.
Lou was born April 7, 1960 in Wisconsin Rapids to Louis and Judith (Kopelke) Hoffman Sr.
He grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln High School as a member of the class of 1978. He served his country in the National Guard from 1981 to 1984.
Lou was employed as an over the road truck driver, and has spent the past 11 years in shipping and receiving at Corenso North America in Wisconsin Rapids.
Lou was a member of the Tri-City Riding club and enjoyed spending time outdoors horseback riding and tending to his hobby farm. He also enjoyed roller skating with his daughters, camping, ice racing four-wheelers, pontoon boat rides and following local bands such as Southbound and Relentless. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Lou is survived by his daughters Danielle Domine (Christopher) and Deanna Domine (Brandon), both of Wisconsin Rapids; his mother Judith Knesting of Wisconsin Rapids; his brother Shane (Chris) Hoffman of Wisconsin Rapids; foster sister Kerrin Najemnik, his grandson Benjamin Domine; his nieces and nephews: Dustin (Leslie) Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman and Sara (James) Helgeson, Jeremiah Prust and Mikaela (Kent) Dampier; his significant other Ellen Campbell and her children: Rueben Harper, Courtney Harper and Anthony Campbell, and his faithful companion, his dog Buddy. He is preceded in death by his father Louis Hoffman Sr., his sister Robin Prust and his brother Cory Hoffman.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Parish Cemetery in the town of Grant. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
